Hello Folks,

I'm sorry I've been offline for a good two weeks, my paternal grandmother died last week and to top it all off, my father had to be out of his house and into his new one(he sold the farm I grew up on to buy two new houses so much moving nad clearing out twenty years of crap from sheds etc)

Blessed be, all.

I invite you to our party, we will be demonstrating ritual piercing art, fire dancing and breathing, plus other wild enertainment. Body Piercing is a sarced and spritual form of self expression and rebirth, glorifing the bodies temple. We have three pagans on staff and we would love to see more of our community come along and see us perform.

Take care

Jenette.

Okay, so, tonight my coven is going to having a "Middle Pillar" Ritual. I adore them, even if I do sleep on the floor afterwards with my kitty curled in my lap.(I live with our HPriest so it's somewhat of an advantage. ;)) I was wondering if anyone else had ever participated in a Middle Pillar ritual and what your experiences were.

I really do need to start working with a solid, serious group. This is getting silly. I'm in the Blue Mountains, NSW, and can't find squat locally.
Can anyone fill me in about there-abouts covens or working groups that are actually anywhere near open to newcommers? I've probably asked this same question millions of times in millions of spots, but I'm still flaying away.
I'm up to that point in progress where continuing solitary is only pushing me backwards.
Help!

We were talking about Drugs, Nudity, Sex and Sacrifice at a coven meeting last week, and I was wondering what everyone's views on the matters were.

These are, pretty much the views on these matters within my coven, I'll share what I can with you ;) as though this is often a rather controversial matter within many traditions, we don't bother to hide our views on these four subjects. I've put everything behind a cut, just in case people are reading this at a place where it's best to be discreet.

Nudity or being skyclad is a common thing within many covens and traditions, In the Wiccan tradition, the expectation of ritual nudity probably came from the late Gerald Garner. We have, within our coven a tradition of selective nudity, I work nude at times, and at other times are dressed, at least in a robe if not a full dress and cloak etc.

However:

Nudity is a great leveler of all people. Those with wealth can't show off with more expensive clothing.

The power in a circle can, and will generate heat, it is often in the warmer months more comfortable to be naked.

During certain rituals and at initiation specific people are required for ritual purposes to be naked.

I was just wondering what everyone else thought about these matters :) And welcome your input.

Well, we've got a few new people in the group? And we'd love to hear from you? Even if it's just a little bit of an introduction so we can get to know you all. :)

Last night, was a full moon, the coven I'm involved with performed a ritual, we danced, we drank-(about as much as you'd get in a catholic communion) and had an excellent time.

I'm always amazed to attend coven rituals, as I was raised to be a solitary. My mother was what can only be described as a devout catholic-hedge witch, so my upbringing was a little odd.

I had a thought before, about how other people celebrate full moons? Let me know what you all get up to. I'm terribly interested in learning.

Blessings all.

Alrielira.

Hi I'm Leia, im 18 and ive been very intrested in Wicca for about 3 years. The problem is i was brought up as a Jehovah's Wittness ( a devoted, catholic-like religion) and am scared of doing spells or rituals, in fear of something happening, like something backfiring. Has anyone else had this trouble? I would very much like a tutor of some sort or someone who could guide me. I'm from Adelaide. Thankyou!

Merry Meet
Merry Part
and Merry Meet Again

This Community is for all of us influenced by or interested in Wicca and Pagan religions. Especially for us that are here in the Southern Hemisphere.

aus_pagan is intended as a place to post Spells, Poetry, Wiccan/Pagan Images, and Quotes.

We're intended as an open and welcoming place for Witches of all skill levels from beginner to High Priests and Priestesses.

Please feel free to assist each other in anything you see fit.

That which is said within the coven-or in this case the live journal must stay here. It’s a common practice here where I’m from, both in my professional life, and in my religious life. Some people can’t come out of the proverbial broom closet, and anonymity must be preserved if people wish it to be the case.

Respect others' points of view. Please, don't make us bind you. I'm somewhat out of practice ;)

This is NOT for people that are not willing to respect the wiccan laws, and work within the limitations set by the Moderators.

It is a REQUIREMENT that you respect the moderators of this community and do not over step your lines. That said? We enjoy a good joke, and if we’re in the position knowing we can get away with it? We’ll tease the shit out of people right back.

We do not intend to give warnings for common sense things. You will be removed however if there are repeat, deliberate offences such as blatant intolerance, cruelty or other such things… Mostly because the moderators work long hours and can't be bothered to deal with petty naughtiness.

Any one Caught disobeying the laws will be warned but once.

Do not harrass anyone.

Please respect others and their rights to neat and organized friends pages and use the lj cut for large images, or long posts. Generally anything over one or two paragraphs should be cut out of kindness. We all seem to have a lot of communities on our friend's pages these days and huge posts just take up space.

The Livejournal Cut is very simple to operate. Please see the community info page on how to do one if you don't know how.

Upon joining this community we politely request that you fill out a simple Introduction survey so we may know who you are. Helps us to get to know you a little better :)

If this is not done within one week you will be reminded gently to please fill it out.

Merry met.
